Happy New Year 2023

Happy New Year! あけましておめでとうございます

皆様旧年中は大変お世話になりました、今年もよろしくお願い申し上げます

昨年は3月にInternational Women's Day live (real and online), Conspiracies online liveと7月にCat Rescue online live、11月にちえみクロスさんのメモリアルでの演奏、12月に大学教員組合ストのピケで太鼓を叩き、踊ったのみで、The Muffins Boxブックレット翻訳をさせていただいた他は、体調不良もありまして猫様猫様バラ様お料理バラ様猫様猫様猫様用お料理って感じの一年でしたが、今年はなんとかもっとライヴもツアーも、もちろん日本にも行こうと思っています。

I only performed at International Women's Day event at UEL and Conspiracies online live with my students, participants from Japan, Guy Harries and Chris Cutler in March, Cat Rescue online live in July, Memorial for Chemi Cross in November and played the surdo and danced at the picket line of UCU industrial action during last year, did translation for The Muffins box 'Baker's Dozen', and the rest of the year was like cats, cats, roses, cooking, roses, cats, cats, cooking for cats, oh and I wasn't very well quite a while, but I'm planning to do much more this year!

もう何年かかってるんだというセカンドソロアルバム、諸般の事情が全てクリアとなり、タイトルも「Groove Study」と決定、ジャケットデザインも出来て、詳細な解説ブックレット付きで今年前半にはリリースの見込みが立ちました。

I'm planning to release my second solo album 'Groove Study' in the first half of 2023, with a detailed booklet.

その中からの一曲が近日発売Chris CutlerのソロBox setにボブ・ドレイクによる別ミックス別マスタリングで収録されて先行発売となります（私のソロアルバムは宇都宮泰さんのマスタリングとオーディオトリートメント）。ショーンベルグの未完成ピアノ曲をアレンジしたもので私がアコースティックグランドピアノ、カトラー先生ドラムスに須藤俊明さんがベースです。こんなの聴いたことないって感じの曲に仕上がってます。

One of the tracks will be included in Chris Cutler Box, due to be released soon. This version is in different mix and mastering (by Bob Drake) from the one in my solo album (mastering by Yasushi Utsunomia). It is an arrangement of piano fragment by Arnold Schoenberg, me playing acoustic grand piano, Chris Cutler on drums, and Toshiaki Sudoh on bass. Something that you have never heard before.

このCutlerボックスのブックレットにこの曲の解説を書いたのですが、その勢いでせっかくなら私のソロアルバム収録の他の曲全部にも詳細な解説を書いて、充実したブックレットにしてしまおうと思い立ちました。

I have written about this track for cc box, and I thought I should write about all the other pieces in my solo album, so I decided to do so and make a detailed booklet attached to the CD.
